Day 1-2 - Oslo, Norway - May 29, 30

We are now in Barcelona after 2+ days of travel. We left Boise at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday the 29th of June, flew to Denver where we had a 4.5 hour layover, on to Newark and then on to Oslo, Norway. It was about 10:00 a.m. Monday morning and we took a bus to our hotel. We freshened up, Josh took a 45 minute nap, and then we took a train to downtown Oslo and ate lunch. Josh wasn’t feeling well and was super tired. He would fall asleep any time we stopped moving. He ordered a chicken pita and it was huge! But he just picked at it and threw it away. After we ate, we walked through a cathedral, and then walked along the main street to the palace. It was a pretty walk to the palace. We then walked down to the harbor. The Espinoza’s stopped at a café, and while we were resting there, a few kids fell asleep. It was about 6 p.m. on Monday, and we hadn’t had a chance to sleep other than during travel times so the kids were ready to go back to the hotel and get to bed early. The kids and I took the train back to the hotel and the Espinoza’s stayed in town another hour or so. Josh fell asleep as soon as he climbed in bed. I read for a little while, but didn’t sleep very well that night. We were up at 3:00 a.m. when Dave called, had breakfast at the hotel at 4:00 a.m. and left for the airport at 5:00 a.m. We flew to Brussels, and had another 5 hour layover then on to Madrid. We arrived in Madrid around 5:00 p.m., then took another train to Barcelona. We got to our house at 10:30 p.m. and went to a restaurant for dinner. We were back and in bed around 1:00 a.m.
