We got up today at 7:00 a.m. and had breakfast at 8:00. It was so good! I think I’m going to like the food here. We then took a shore excursion to see the 3 gorges dam. It was pretty misty outside today, so we didn’t see it very clearly. It was interesting. On the way back to the ship, I bought a couple parasols for my girls and silk jammies for Megan. I also bought some artwork for me. As we disembarked, we went through the locks on the dam to get to the upper reservoir. That was cool. It took about 2-3 hours. This afternoon, we sailed through one of the gorges. It was beautiful, and we saw some nice Chinese countryside along the river. Mark and I spent some time reading on the sun deck. We ended the day with a lecture from Michael Wilcox. He talked about the Perennial Philosophy, the parable of the boys and the wishing tree, and the life of Buddha. It was all very interesting.
